To enable your ministry or presentation to go smoothly there may be a situation where you want to download a video from an online source such as YouTube or Vimeo.
There are numerous websites and various pieces of software that advertise the ability to download Youtube videos. Unfortunately a number of them have less than stellar reputations, and a higher percentage than most actually install harmful add-ons beyond the functionality you intend to setup.
As such please use,
To download video files from Youtube and others places whenever possible.
Once you have downloaded the file to your computer, please keep the video file with your presentation and copy the entire package to the computer/venue that you will be presenting from. You can do this via a USB Drive or downloading the presentation from Cephas Docs. Please keep in mind that accessing your presentation directly from the Cephas server will introduce an unnecessary performance hit.
If you are using PowerPoint instead of ProPresenter, please Do Not embed the video file in the show. Rather play the video in a separate player on the computer when and where needed.
If you have any questions about licensing or the technical use of a venue please consult with the Associate Director of Production or the Creative Arts Admin. If you have any questions about editing your video, please consult with the Video Manager.
